After months of preparations, our Beneteau 423 Northern Lights is ready to sail. Last week we applied a fresh Micron Extra bottom paint to ready her for salt water sailing. This was a huge job as the existing VC-17 fresh water paint had to be removed and new paint applied. Kudos to RCR Yachts for a great job.

Last Friday, we went back in the water at Erie Yacht Club and had the mast unstepped at Erie Port Authority. Paul Kircher of Erie Line & Cord added a new Forespar whisker pole and two new halyards and we put the mast back on the boat on Tuesday.

Weather reports look favorable for departure for Buffalo and the Erie Canal to the Hudson and the sea. Check out our rough itinerary at Windward Solutions.
